Ongoing Project
I created The Weight of a Line with a focus on bodies suspended between movement and stillness. Paused in mid-motion, withdrawal, or longing for something invisible, they inhabit an in-between space—not fully present, yet not entirely absent. A simple drawn line traces, interrupts, and extends their bodies, creating a relationship between fragment and whole.
Through these figures and lines, I explore connections between drawing and photography, treating them as different states of the same creative impulse. Photography is a form of drawing with light, yet drawing remains at its origin. Alternative photographic processes carry traces of the past while making time physically present through the transformation of paper, connecting the history of image-making to the passing and recurring rhythms of the present.
